Our Curriculum
Where Curiosity Meets Purpose
At The Manorcrest Preparatory School, we believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, deeply curious, and inspired to explore the world around them. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child while building the strong academic foundation needed for future success.
Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, we connect literacy, mathematics, science, creative arts, movement, language, and social-emotional learning through meaningful themes, hands-on investigations, and real-world experiences that make learning both joyful and memorable.
Every lesson begins with one simple question:
How can we help children understand—not just memorize—the world around them?
That philosophy guides everything we do.
Learning That Comes to Life
At Manorcrest, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
Beginning at age three, children rotate through our signature learning studios, where classroom concepts become meaningful experiences.
Imagine children exploring the life cycle of a butterfly.
They may begin by reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar in The Reading Realm, observe caterpillars and butterflies in The Mars Lab, paint butterfly wings in Atelier Cove, prepare butterfly-themed healthy snacks in the Manor Cooking Studio, explore habitats through sensory invitations in the Mud & Water Play Studio, and continue the adventure through imaginative play in The Manor Village™.
Instead of learning separate subjects, children make meaningful connections that deepen understanding and inspire curiosity.
This is the Manorcrest difference.
Our Curriculum Is Built Around Eight Essential Areas of Development
Every experience is intentionally planned to support children's growth academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively.
Children develop a love of reading, writing, storytelling, and meaningful conversation through books, phonics, vocabulary, journaling, dramatic storytelling, and rich classroom discussions.
Guided by Research. Inspired by Children.
Our curriculum draws from respected, research-informed educational approaches while remaining uniquely Manorcrest.
We thoughtfully combine inquiry-based learning, purposeful play, project work, early literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional learning, and intentional teaching to create experiences that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and academically meaningful.
Every lesson is carefully planned, every environment is intentionally prepared, and every child is encouraged to learn at a pace that honors their individual strengths and interests.
Preparing Children for More Than Kindergarten
Success isn't measured simply by what children know.
It is reflected in how they think, communicate, solve problems, collaborate, create, and approach new challenges with confidence.
Our goal is not only to prepare children for kindergarten.
Our goal is to prepare them for a lifetime of learning.
